An axe is a tool commonly used for the purpose of cutting and chopping trees and splitting logs. It has a head of sharp metal attached to a wood handle (usually hickory), at an angle of ninety degrees. An axe is a tool which has been perfected over thousands of years.
There are many styles kinds of axes available these days, to meet the different requirements of users. One of them is the single-bit axe which is most popular. These axes are very useful for felling trees, or pruning and trimming them. Axes can be easily purchased from mercantile stores, or even through the internet. However, it is best that one makes sure that the features are acceptable and safe for the user. Choosing the length of an axe is a compromise based on intended use and the size of the user.
